“Imagination is a catalyst for healing…” Interweaving three periods in the life of Daphne, the film shows her as a child being chased through the forest and being severely punished by her father for playing by the stream despite his prohibition. Later, during a psychotic break, she refuses her doctor’s prescriptions, preferring instead to find her own path towards recovery. Finally, as a creative writer, she mines her own past towards ends both artistic and therapeutic.
